Pneumatic Control Valve Assembly Record
This production case records the workshop assembly of an 8-inch Class 150 CF8 pneumatic control valve. The photographs and assembly video show the main body, bonnet, plug-and-stem components and final pneumatic actuator installation.
Assembly and inspection focus
- Identification and visual inspection of the CF8 body, bonnet, plug, stem and related internal components.
- Fit-up of the plug-and-stem assembly within the machined body and seating area.
- Bonnet alignment, bolting sequence and actuator mounting interface checks.
- Installation and functional positioning of the pneumatic diaphragm actuator and positioner.
- Final inspection and pressure testing in accordance with API 598 and the approved project documents.
Project release basis
Final acceptance remains subject to the approved drawing, datasheet, inspection and test plan, actuator configuration and project-specific documentation requirements. Flow characteristic, fail action, leakage class, trim selection and instrument accessories should be confirmed in the purchase order.
