Manufacturing and Application Scope

An automatic recirculation valve (ARV), also called a pump protection valve or minimum-flow valve, is used at the discharge of a centrifugal pump when process demand can fall below the pump manufacturer’s minimum continuous flow. Its bypass provides a recirculation route to maintain the required pump flow during start-up and low-demand operation. The minimum-flow value and return arrangement must be established from the pump curve and approved project data.

This PN100 (10 MPa) F304 project valve has two DN400 flanged connections in the main flow path and a DN300 protection branch. It was specified for boiler feedwater, cooling-water and condensate equipment in power-station service. Under normal demand, discharge flow continues through the main line; as demand falls, the branch provides a minimum-flow return path. Bypass capacity, transition point, pressure reduction and return-line backpressure are project-specific and require confirmation on the approved datasheet and drawing.

The workshop photographs document internal component machining and positioning, body and stem assembly, and the finished valve before export packing for the September 2026 shipment. The recorded design, flange and testing references are GB/T 12224, GB/T 9124.1 and GB/T 26480 respectively; inspection scope and acceptance depend on the approved purchase documents and ITP. F304 material compatibility for corrosive service must be reviewed against the actual fluid and temperature rather than inferred from the grade alone.

For a comparable high-pressure pump protection valve, send the pump curve, minimum continuous flow, rated and start-up flows, operating pressure and temperature, process medium, bypass destination and backpressure, connection drawing and inspection requirements. These inputs support engineering review of the main-line size, recirculation branch and minimum-flow duty before quotation.
